Runes
Runes drop from monsters. The featured element makes them 1.5 times as likely. Check /d rotation. Dungeon menus mark the featured element from level 6; the bonus applies below that too.
Rune colours
Section titled “Rune colours”Half of monster rune drops match the dungeon element’s colour. The other half are weighted draws from the remaining colours. This applies every day; the featured bonus increases drop frequency without changing the colour mix.
| Dungeon element | Rune colour |
|---|---|
| Fire / Earth | Red |
| Water / Ice | Blue |
| Air / Jungle | Green |
| Electric | Pink |
Within each pool, runes that apply to more gear types are more likely to drop.
Rune shards
Section titled “Rune shards”Rune shards are saved between runs. Each first maze or boss chest open has a 3% chance to contain one; take it to add it to your balance. At the Rune Dealer, click Exchange Rune Shards to trade 8 shards for a random rune.
Daily, soul, and free entries qualify, as with rune drops. Entry, party, difficulty, and featured-element bonuses do not increase shard chances.
Runes exchanged for shards have no dungeon colour bias.
